Following the Railway Pilot Phase 2 demonstration held in Paris on 11 June, SafeTravellers moves to its next operational milestone with the Maritime and Land Border Scenarios demonstration in Constanța. The pilot is organised and coordinated by the General Inspectorate of Romanian Border Police.
This is an internal project event. Unlike the Railway Pilot, it is not open to external observers.

The demonstration puts the SafeTravellers platform and tools into the hands of border police officers during two simulated operational testing scenarios. Both are built to reflect real border control activities and follow the standard procedures currently applied at Romanian border crossing points, allowing the project to evaluate how the technologies perform in genuine operational conditions.
The demonstration brings together the tools developed across the project workflow, covering pre-enrolment, first line, second line and back office, among others.
Both scenarios generate operational feedback on the functionality, reliability and practicality of the SafeTravellers solutions in real border management activities, supporting officers in strengthening border security and improving document fraud detection, while fully respecting fundamental rights and data protection requirements.
